NCC Global

NCC had 60 print spool servers and 600 printers in offices and job sites around the world. The 60 servers were replaced with one Cirrato server. One of NCC's concerns is that printing cannot fail under any circumstances, as construction projects often rely on being able to print out important documents. Even amidst the concerns of relying on a single Cirrato server for all of their printing, uptime reliability increased. With Cirrato, NCC users can print even if network connection fails.

Before Cirrato, drivers for various printer models had to be constantly updated, new computers and printers connected in various construction sites, disparate printout formats for CAD-, desktop- and word processing programs manually accommodated. The complex environment led to many calls to IT support. Cirrato's transparent overview of all printers, and central driver management, made life easier for NCC's IT staff as well as local managers and end users. And the reduction in number of servers immediately led to less impact on both environment and finances.
