Stockholm, September 19, 2016 – Cirrato Technologies announces that they have been acquired by Levi, Ray and Shoup (LRS). The single server printing solution developed by Cirrato will become part of the LRS Enterprise Output Management division. Cirrato will continue to be offered as a separate solution.
John Howerter, LRS Senior Vice President of Product Marketing, comments: “We are excited to welcome this talented group of printing experts to the LRS family. In addition to an innovative product set and loyal customer base, they bring a fresh perspective to the topic of Enterprise Output Management. Though LRS and Cirrato evolved separately, we share a common set of values regarding how we develop our products and support our customers. Together, we will continue to offer customers new ways to eliminate print servers, improve business processes, and save money.”
Cirrato has been a technology driven company for over 12 years with the majority of the employees being in development. After starting out in an attic office, the company headquarters and its Swedish employees now reside in a loft in Stockholm’s most exclusive shopping area. Outside of Sweden, Cirrato Technologies has employees in Northern America, the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. The Cirrato solution is used by both smaller enterprises and large corporates including global players like Thomson Reuters and GE. In Sweden, nearly all government institutions have Cirrato implemented. The software is exclusively offered by a partner network of OEM vendors, distributors and ITO’s.
The acquisition by LRS provides a solid basis for the Cirrato technology to be further developed and enhanced. At the same time it also offers stability as LRS is a global IT leader with a history of thirty-seven years of delivering software solutions. “We are excited to become part of LRS. Since Cirrato started in 2005, it has grown from a small company with mainly Swedish customers into a global player that serves large enterprises worldwide. Joining LRS will take Cirrato to a new level and extend the solution set that we are able to offer to new and existing customers,” says Gorm Halberg-Lange, former CEO and founder of Cirrato Technologies. “I am confident that this acquisition will have a significant impact on how server consolidation software will develop in the coming years.”
LRS is a privately-held U.S. company with corporate headquarters located in Springfield, Illinois, USA. Remote offices are located throughout the United States and in key geographic regions around the world. More than half of the Fortune 1000 companies rely on industry-leading LRS®solutions, with products in use in over 30 countries.
